Hi there everyone, I’m Kyle Divita and I have been an intern for Apollo for the past school year. I’m a high school senior graduating next week (Hooray!) and I will be attending the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business as a Marketing major in the Fall. But before I dive into my future, let me take you through my internship experience with Apollo.
From the very beginning, I was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the Apollo team. Led by Sage Harper, the owner and my incredible mentor, along with his assistant Crissy Johnson, I felt instantly welcomed into the Apollo family. Despite not working side by side in an office, their guidance and support made me feel right at home. As I began to break into the world of digital marketing, I eagerly absorbed every bit of knowledge shared during our online meetings and collaboration sessions.
Beginning my time with Apollo, I was a sponge, absorbing everything I could, from SEO to CRMs and sales funnels. After several research projects and presentations, I was eager to put newfound skills into practice. I found myself creating content for our clients, mastering the art of ordering backlinks, and eventually taking the lead of our monthly blog posts and SEO services. Through each project, I gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of online businesses and the power of strategic marketing.
No journey is without its obstacles, and my internship at Apollo was no exception. Yet, with the unwavering support of my mentors and colleagues, I confronted each challenge head-on. From mastering the intricacies of website optimization to navigating the complexities of lead generation, every hurdle became an opportunity for growth. With resilience and determination, I emerged stronger and more confident in my abilities to help our clients with their digital marketing needs.
As I look back on my time at Apollo Marketing, I am filled with pride and gratitude for the milestones we achieved together. From spearheading projects to launching my own affiliate marketing website, Performance Bats, the journey has been an incredible stepping stone in my career. Through diligent research, meticulous planning, and a passion for helping others, I found fulfillment in empowering baseball and softball players and parents alike. It required researching niches, building and optimizing the site, and creating great content to help our readers while integrating affiliate links to bat sellers to earn our commission. As I prepare to take on the next chapter of my academic and professional journey, I carry with me the invaluable lessons and skills gained during my internship at Apollo.
My internship at Apollo Marketing has been more than just a learning experience—it has been a journey of fun, growth, and friendship. From our team meeting, to working together to solve technical issues, I now have great mentors that will support me for the rest of my life and experiences that have taught me so much. From my time with Apollo, I have developed my future dreams and goals to start my own digital marketing agency just like Apollo to help small businesses in my community grow.
As I say goodbye to my internship with Apollo, I’m very excited for my future work in marketing and earning my degree. I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to learn, to grow, and to thrive in the dynamic world of marketing and I can’t wait to continue to build on my experiences with Apollo.
Thank you, Sage and Crissy for your great mentorship and support!
